Since 1966, Notting Hill becomes alive during the August Bank Holiday with the largest Street Carneval in Europe.  The Carnival, which used to showcase the Afro-Caribbean community primarily, now represents a wealth of other nationalities including those from South America, Afghanistan, Kurdistan and the Philippines.
The Carneval is over two days; Sundays are for children and Mondays for Adults, although many youngsters participate.  Hundreds of Thousands visitors from all over the World attend the festivities.
